Stanislaw Topfer (1917-1975)
Polish painter, graphic artist and illustrator of children's books.
He was a member of the Group of 9 Graphic Artists, a Cracow-based art group, active from 1947 to 1960. It was the first Polish art group formed immediately after World War II and also the first to continue the pre-war traditions of graphic art.
In the People's Republic of Poland, July 22, or Polish Renaissance Day, was a day off from work, a major holiday with numerous propaganda academies and grand events celebrating the PZPR, the socialist system and its great achievements.
A great example of socialist realism in art.
Work in very good condition.
