Studied at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun, where he defended his diploma in 1961 in the Painting Studio of Prof. Stanislaw Borysowski. In 1970 he organized a serigraphy studio. In 1974-1978 he served as deputy director, and in 1987-1989 as director of the Art and Pedagogical Institute. From 1982 to 1989 he also headed the Department of Graphic Arts.
