Biography
Carl Schultze (1856-1926) studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Düsseldorf under Heinrich Lauenstein and Andreas Müller and took lessons from the landscape painter Georg Oeder. In 1881, he made a study trip to Paris. He participated in many exhibitions, including at the Academy in Berlin and also in Dresden, Bremen, Hanover, Düsseldorf, Magdeburg and Danzig. He was a highly regarded landscape painter who particularly enjoyed depicting winter landscapes.
