Biography
Stanislaw Bryniarski (1829 Krakow - 1914 there) - in 1847-54 and 1856-57 studied at the School of Fine Arts in Krakow under Wojciech Kornella Stattler, Władysław Łuszczkiewicz, Aleksander Płonczyński. As a friend of Jacek Malczewski, he often acted as an old man's model, posing for his paintings. In his early days he was involved in copying paintings by Stachowicz, to whom he owed his artistic education. The main subject of his paintings was historic buildings of Krakow - perspective views of interiors. These paintings were characterized by good perspective drawing with accurate rendering of architectural details. He was also involved in the restoration of paintings and frescoes. He exhibited at the Society of Friends of Fine Arts in Krakow in 1869-94, the Society for the Encouragement of Fine Arts in Warsaw and the Krywult Salon (1883, 1893, 1901).
