Master of Arts, graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw, member of the Association of the International Triennial of Graphic Arts in Krakow. Currently runs the author's Studio/Gallery Viola Tycz. She has been creating since 1995, since she began her studies at the Academy of Fine Arts.
Initially she focused on classical art education in painting, and later on graphic design and multimedia. Her work is focused on man in the age of the cybernetic revolution. The artist admits that her work can be categorized as figuration, but, because of the subject matter, she goes beyond the standard directions in art, resulting in a scholarship awarded to her by the Joan Miro Foundation for her innovative graphic technique.
In her art, she mostly deals with the subject of man - here and now. A being who has already separated from Nature, but has not yet assimilated the world of Cybernetics. Transformation and metamorphosis - between technology and nature. Between what is human and what is electronic.
She most appreciates the work of Johannes Vermeer van Delft - for light, for truth, for mystery and for technique.
