Born in 1987.
Creates three-dimensional paintings through a technique of her own using paper-mache, canvas and oil paint. The paintings reveal a sculptural vision of form, surprising in their diversity in terms of structure as well as message, focusing on depicting an aspect of human existence.The artist is becoming more and more successful every year and the prices of her works record a regular increase. She uses a complex technique through which a limited number of works are produced (no more than 15 canvases per year). Many of them have received international art awards and have been exhibited throughout Europe.
In 2021, she was featured in three foreign publications: Arabic Independent, Nomads Lifestyle (Italy) and the art newsletter Photographize Arts Culture (USA). In the same year, she began participating in international art competitions. Since then she has won more than ten awards. The first success of 2022 was the acceptance of the artist's work to participate in the 14th Art Biennale in Florence, which will be held in 2023. She was also invited by the Van Gogh Gallery (Madrid) to participate in the International Contemporary Art Fair in Monaco. This year, one of her paintings was featured on the cover of the art and poetry magazine Woven Tale Press (New York).
Gaya Lastovjak has participated in many exhibitions, both individual and collective, and has collaborated with galleries: Galeria Next, At Art, Saatchiart, ArtMo, Singulart, Monshareart Gallery in Milan, Polskajungart in Vienna and Art Show International Gallery in Los Angeles as well as auction houses: Desa Unicum, DNA, SDA, Fineart's. Her paintings have been exhibited internationally in Austria, Portugal and Italy, and many have been purchased by private collectors from Switzerland, the US, Poland, among others,
Netherlands, Spain, Germany, etc. She creates and lives in Krakow.
