Beige cloth binding, silver lettering and decoration on front and spine, decorative boards.
Unwarranted rubbing and soiling of binding, on title page own stamp, occasionally some unstained pages. Classic monograph of material culture of Podhale region. Rich iconography. W. Matlakowski, a physician by training and a cultural expert by avocation, decided to delve into the details of the ornamentation of the highlanders' costume and everyday objects. He drew numerous illustrations and tables himself or with the help of Stanislaw Witkiewicz.
