The work is described and reproduced in the artist's most important monograph, Gustav Schiefler's catalog (item 268) and in Gerd Woll's revised and supplemented 2012 edition (item 298).
The work is the author's graphic repetition of the oil landscape "Early Spring in Åsgårdstrand" painted in 1905 (mirror image). The graphic was created by the artist as an illustration for a book by Hermann Struck.
