She received her diploma from the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow in 1984 in the Gravure Studio under Prof. Andrzej Pietsch and Lithography under Prof. Włodzimierz Kunz. In 1994, she completed postgraduate studies in Conservation of Architecture and Urban Planning at the Faculty of Architecture, Cracow University of Technology. The artist has received numerous awards, including, among others, the Best Graphic of the Month Competition, the ZPAP OK Board Award "Golden Frame" in the "Small Format" competition, or 2nd prize in the XX Premio Firenze. She has had an impressive number of solo and group exhibitions in Poland, France, Denmark, Holland, Spain or Italy. Recently, the artist's works have been exhibited in Milan. Her works are in collections all over the world.
The presented work, as in other works of the artist, highlights the search for goodness and beauty, and shows a masterfully built mood with the use of warm browns and ochres. The young woman on the canvas frozen in melancholy reverie juxtaposed with geometric form betrays a penchant for harmony and transports the viewer to more distant philosophical musings.
