Social issues, mechanisms of exclusion and individual spaces of feeling are present in her work. Focusing on exploring her own emotions, searching for a consensus between the roles of an artist and a mother, as well as her own femininity, personal experiences and inner life become inspirations for her paintings and projects. Joanna Pawlik's paintings are a peculiar record of the artist's life, peculiar portraits of loved ones, disabled people or the natural world as in the case of the presented work. Her negative painting is a fullness of artistic expression. The artist's unreal colors and painting artistry have allowed her to create a metaphysical space.
