Biography
Ludwik Misky studied at Krakow's Academy of Fine Arts from 1902-10 in the studios of Florian Cynk, Leon Wyczółkowski, Jozef Pankiewicz, Jozef Mehoffer and Jan Stanislawski. He continued his artistic studies in the universities of Dresden, Leipzig, Berlin and Vienna. He was a member of the Jednoróg Artists' Guild in Cracow. He painted landscapes, decorative still lifes, portraits, marinas; he also designed kilims. In 1913, at the Society of Friends of Fine Arts in Lviv, kilims made according to his design were exhibited at an exhibition of contemporary Polish art.
