Half-closed blade, steel frame. The hilt is elaborate, sigmoidal, passing into a bail, a donkey-shoe and a side hilt. The handle in the shape of a spindle, braided densely with metal filigree. Head in the shape of a longitudinally incised mace, riveted with a head pin. The head is steel, double-edged, rhomboidal in cross-section, profiled on both sides in two narrow furrows reaching half the length of the head. At the socket, at a length of 70 mm, the so-called "ricasso" - a blunt section, which is a characteristic element distinguishing the rapier from other similar weapons.
