Assina Yrani Calheiros (1945-2017) - Brazilian artist was born in Maceió and came to São Paulo at the age of 16. She began painting in the late 1960s, participating with other artists in important cultural movements (Praça da República) and at the Embu das Artes art fair. She has participated in numerous exhibitions in Brazil and abroad.
