Biography
Ruśkiewicz was actually a self-taught artist. He worked as a clerk for the Bank of Poland, but his passion was painting.
He specialized in landscape painting and took numerous plein-air painting trips, mainly to Malopolska, the Tatra Mountains and the Pieniny Mountains. h traveled around the country - he visited the vicinity of Krakow, Sandomierz, Klimontow, Ojcow, went to the Pieniny and Tatra Mountains. Since the 1850s, he exhibited his works in the Cracow Society of Friends of Fine Arts and the Warsaw Society for the Encouragement of Fine Arts. His work is part of the trend of realism in Polish painting.
