Presented Hanukkah Candlestick made after 1931, in a simple style, with a small engraving on the base, at the Sina Herzog Silverware Factory, located in Krakow, 10 Krakowska Street before the war, operating in the 1920s and 1930s. The base bears an embossed silver punca 3 (sample .800), a punca minted on secondary parts of the silverware, and the SH maker's namesake.
Polish Judaica wares, are a real rarity and are of great interest on the collector's market, because during World War II, such wares were massively destroyed and melted down, by the German occupiers. Nowadays they are souvenirs, of the large Jewish minority, which lived on the territory of the Second Polish Republic before the war.
The candlestick is damaged - one arm is missing, dents on the base, the whole slightly tilted with respect to the base. The whole in strong patina and dusty. Remains of wax.
Height: 310 mm, arm span: 245 mm, weight: 304 g.
