Expanding, cannelled handles with scrollwork, ending in a lion's head with crossed front paws, decorated with stylized palmettoes at the base.
Charles Rosigneux designed the "Peau de Lion" breakfast service for Christofle for the 1867 Paris exhibition. Christofle's company also used the lion skin motif to decorate the cutlery handles. Christofle's original design was exactly repeated by Fraget on cutlery made " according to the Egyptian cut".
