Head of a young woman with slightly wavy hair softly framing her face. Signature on the back: "Cytrynowicz". Cylindrical pedestal of white marble.
The artist was born and educated in Lodz, and later in Paris, including under Antoni Bourdelle. Arrested in 1941 in France, he was deported to Auschwitz-Birkenau, where he died in 1942.
