Period hardcover in decorated cloth, decorative 5-panel spine with gilt titling; Heliogravures were made by R. Paulussen in Vienna, title page and cover designed by Ernest Czerper (1899-1933). Each heliogravure signed and includes a description of the person portrayed, the date of execution and details of the owner of the work. Portraits of, among others, Henryk Lubomirski, Adam Kazimierz Czartoryski, Stanisław August Poniatowski, Szczęsny Jerzy Potocki.
Condition: minimal folds and rubbing, a few spots, otherwise perfect condition.
The only edition so extensive and so richly illustrated describing the Polish theme of the artist's work.
