Dariusz Plutecki and Dagmara Świrska, a scientific mind and a humanist, together form the artistic duo Vistulart. Born in the '80s, they hail from the Opole region, and for the past several years have put down roots in Warsaw, where they live and work. In their creative work, the pair focuses on the little-known avant-garde technique of photorealistic, full-color string-art. Using proprietary methods and tools, they create unconventional works in which an image emerges from a tangle of several kilometers of threads. The artists work without using any painting techniques, nothing is painted under or on the threads themselves.
