elephant ivory carving (Elephas maximus Linnaeus, 1758 or Loxodonta africana Blumenbach, 1797) depicting the bust of a merchant sculpted in the round.
Height 19.5 cm, base 4.5 x 4.2 cm. Weight 308 g.
Item condition grading: **** good.
Accompanied by Centro Universitario Milano Bicocca Radiocarbon Dating Analysis dated 19/03/2018 and by CITES Certificate.

This lot is available for sale only with shipments within the European Union; the CITES certificate for export outside the European Community can only be requested for lots sold to museums.
