Biography
Visual artist, author of installations, photographs, objects and films. Studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznań, where in 1999 he defended his diploma in the studios of Izabella Gustowska and Jan Berdyszak. In 2002-2003 he did postgraduate studies at the Jan van Eyck Academie in Maastricht, and in 2004-2005 at the Higher Institute for Fine Arts in Antwerp. He was an assistant and then an assistant professor in the video studio at the University of Arts in Poznan. For many years, he has been conducting art workshops for children and young people (e.g. at the Centre for Contemporary Art Laznia in Gdansk, Arsenal Gallery in Bialystok, Świetlica Krytyki Politycznej in Cieszyn), in which he addresses issues related to the articulation of freedom, deconstruction of stereotypes.
He has participated in many solo exhibitions at home and abroad, including "History and Utopia," Arsenal Gallery, Bialystok; "Lux Aeterna" at Galeria Żak | Branicka, Berlin; "Devil's Island" at La Criee Centre d'Art Contemporain, Rennes, France; "Cultural Transference" at EFA Project Space, The Elizabeth Foundation for The Art, New York, USA; Regres / Progress at the Center for Contemporary Art Ujazdowski Castle, Warsaw.
