Edward Lagowski sculpts, also does drawing and painting. Numerous participation in exhibitions and competitions has given the artist many prestigious awards and prizes. His works are in the collections of more than twenty museums and in private collections at home and abroad. He has participated in sculpture symposia: in Hajnówka, Orońsko, Wdzydze Kiszewskie, Opoczno as well as abroad: Nagyatád (Hungary), Sant Margarethen (Austria), Frunze - Kyrgyzstan. Everywhere there he realized large-scale outdoor sculpture. In each of these cities he organized an individual exhibition of his works (intimate sculpture).
In 2014, the Museum of Sport and Tourism organized a solo exhibition of the artist at the Gallery of the Polish Olympic Committee, on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of his birth.
Edward Lagowski was born on August 8, 1943 in Brzezinki Nowe, nearwolen. He graduated from the Secondary School of Fine Arts in Kielce - 1964, the same year he began his studies at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts, Faculty of Sculpture. Studied from 1964-1970 under Prof. Alfred Jesion, Prof. Marian Wnuk, Prof. Oskar Hansen and Prof. Wanda Paklikowska-Winnicka - drawing. Diploma in the atelier of Prof. Oskar Hansen - 1970.
