Biography
From 1916 to 1925 he studied intermittently at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. He studied in the studio of Konstanty Laszczka, a prominent Polish sculptor of the modernist era. Tracz's high artistic abilities are evidenced by the numerous awards given to him by the university's authorities during his studies. He supplemented his artistic education in Western Europe - in Paris, Florence, Rome and Naples, thus familiarizing himself with ancient art and new trends. He continued to travel around the Old Continent even after graduation, eventually settling in Kolomyia (now in Ukraine), where he created and taught at an industrial school. He presented his works at the Krakow and Lviv Society of Friends of Fine Arts. He was a member of the Association of Artists "Zwornik" formed in Krakow in 1928.
