Iwona Miliszewska-Nosko studied at the Faculty of Sculpture of the Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. She graduated with honors in the studio of Prof. Józef Sękowski in 2000. She is also a graduate of the Postgraduate School of Theater and Television Scenography (diploma under Prof. Krystyna Zachwatowicz-Wajda in 2002).
"Childhood is the only season that lasts in us all our lives" (Ryszard Kapuscinski). Such words come to mind when I look at the works of Iwona Miliszewska-Nosko. Childhood is an extraordinary thing, because it returns whenever we allow memories to revive - as the author does. Closing her eyes she follows into the magical world of what was. For her, memory is a force that triggers extremely creative solutions. The sculptures we can see reflect everything that her childhood time is associated with. The artist sees it as an extremely intensified emotional, sensual world. This world is full of big dreams, countless ideas, an unwavering belief that anything can happen. "In a child's world you can discover an unknown land, climb the highest tree, or become a king"- as the artist herself says. This is a world that cannot be replaced by anything else. It is unique, unrepeatable and... infinite! You can recreate it by closing your eyes, or by looking at the sculptures of Iwona Miliszewska-Nosko....

Miliszewska-Nosko has found such a space. From the quotations of her own memory she created in
bronze the world of childhood - her own and universal at the same time, in which she herself moves
unhindered, while at the same time encouraging us to try with her to extract our own sinless childhood from oblivion.

butterfly wings we floated on a tower of wind, ran races all the way over the horizon
to discover unknown worlds, when, tired of chasing the babi summer, we fell asleep under the
burdock leaves.
Childhood - a gift as big as the sun, which we carried proudly, unaware of its weight. A
then came the years of the difficult game of life - today all we have left is a red bead. Just that much?
