Ludwik Misky - painter and graphic artist; studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow in the studios of min. Leon Wyczółkowski, Jozef Pankiewicz, Jozef Mehoffer and Jan Stanislawski; he continued his studies in Dresden, Leipzig, Berlin and Vienna. He was a member of the Guild of Artists "Jednoróg". In his landscapes, he was inspired by the work of Stanislawski. He painted still lifes, architectural motifs and portraits. In addition to easel painting and printmaking, he was involved in textile design.
The "Czartak" portfolio, published in 1928, contains works by artists associated with a regional group of poets, writers, painters and graphic artists passionate about the Beskid. Misky designed 3 woodcuts for Zegadłowicz's poem published in "Czartak".
