Leon Piccard (born 1843 in Niemirów, died 1917 in Kraków)-Polish painter, creator of historical and monumental scenes. He studied: at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow (with Władysław Łuszczkiewicz, Feliks Szynalewski, Jan Matejko), at the academies-from 1867 of Munich, from 1868 of Vienna. Together with Witold Pruszkowski, he made wall paintings according to the cartons of Władysław Łuszczkiewicz in the Church of the Nativity of Our Lord and St. Bartholomew the Apostle in Cracow-Mogile. He exhibited his paintings in the Society of Friends of Fine Arts in Cracow and the Society for the Encouragement of Fine Arts in Warsaw.
