"Portfolio of autolithographs of legionary artists published on the twentieth anniversary of the armed deed of the legions 1919-1934".
The portfolio was published in 1934 in Cracow by the Section of Legionary Artists and accompanied the Historical Exhibition of the Polish Legions at the National Museum in Cracow. The exhibition was later also shown in other cities, including Lviv. Also present at the exhibition were Ignacy Pinkas' Legion-themed works, most of which were unfortunately lost during World War II. Some are known from photographs, and those that survived, such as the portrait of artilleryman Tadeusz Muller, are in the National Museum in Cracow. The portfolio contains 15 lithographs by 10 artists, including Ignacy Pinkas. They include works by Stanisław Dąbrowski, Kazimierz Dzieliński, Stanisław Janowski, Franciszek Jaźwiecki, Stanisław Kamocki, Tadeusz Korpal, Tadeusz Seweryn, Wincenty Wodzinowski and Leon Wyczółkowski. The works show portraits of soldiers, combat and life in the trenches, war cemeteries and symbolic scenes. Most are signed in pencil by the authors.
All works were created especially for the exhibition in question.

Kazimierz Dzieliński (born September 10, 1894 in Lviv, died 1955 in Nowy Targ) - Polish painter, soldier of the Polish Legions, major of the Polish Army.
In 1912 he joined the Riflemen's Association, and then was drafted into the 3rd company of the 3rd baron of the 1st infantry regiment of the Polish Legions. Before the war, he underwent a soldier-commissioned officer course, then enrolled in a lower officer course. He joined the L.P. on August 16, 1914, and spent the war in the 1st L.P., then in the 2nd Lancer Regiment (5th squadron). During the repressions applied to legionaries, after J. Haller's 2nd brigade crossed the front line near Rarańcza, he led part of the 5th squadron, of which he was a squadron master, to Borysław. There he hid weapons. His soldiers, supplied with false documents and civilian clothes, dispersed across the country. He left for Krakow. From February 1918 to February 1919, he was classified in the intelligence branch of the Polish Military Organization under the orders of Mariusz Zaruski, and later in the combat branch under the orders of Jablonski-Jasinski. This enabled him to begin his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts, but under the assumed name "Kazimierz Raduski." For two semesters he studied in the studio of Jozef Mehoffer, but regrouping for the 1st regiment of lancers forced him to interrupt his studies. In November 1918 he fought in the ranks of the 9th regiment of lancers of Lesser Poland under the command of Dunin-Borkowski. He finished the war as a rittmeister, took part in the Polish-Ukrainian war and fought in the defense of Lviv; he was transferred to the reserves in 1921. In the reserve he was assigned to the 9th Uhl. In 1934 he remained in the records of the Lviv City District Complementary Command. He was still a reserve rotary officer of the 9th regiment in Trembowla.
In 1927 he returned to his interrupted studies, and continued his studies under Jozef Mehoffer and Jan Wojnarski. He made his debut at an exhibition organized in 1931 by the Society of Friends of Fine Arts, and also exhibited at the vernissage of the Society of Polish Artists "Sztuka". During his studies he repeatedly received honors and commendations, the National Culture Fund awarded Kazimierz Dzieliński a scholarship. After graduating in 1932, he took a position as a contract drawing teacher at the Male Teachers' Seminary in Cracow and took up creating, participating in numerous exhibitions and vernissages. In 1935 he received a government scholarship, which enabled him to travel to France; many landscapes come from that period. Upon his return, he again focused on his art, exhibiting his works in Warsaw, Krakow and Lviv. He was a member of the Cracow Society of Graphic Artists and the Professional Union of Polish Artists. In the summer of 1939, a traveling exhibition of Kazimierz Dzieliński's work took place in France, but due to the political situation, the artist returned to the country in August of that year.
Kazimierz Dzielinski's oeuvre includes oil paintings, etchings, aquatints, the subjects that occupied the artist were still life, landscapes and portraits. In the last years of his life the painter devoted part of his works to war themes. For his participation in both world wars Kazimierz Dzielinski was awarded the Order of Virtuti Militari and the Cross of Valor twice.
