Studied in 1964-70 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw with Jerzy Jarnuszkiewicz. He mainly creates sculptures of human figures from newsprint. In 1972, he presented figures from newsprint at the XXXVI Venice Biennale, the Sao Paulo Biennale, as well as in Philadelphia, Paris, Mannheim and galleries in New York, Antwerp, Ghent and Brussels. Thanks to a DAAD scholarship, he moved to Berlin in 1976. He has participated in many competitions for monuments. In 1991, he created the "Monument to the deported Jews of Berlin at the Berlin-Grunewald train station." In 1996, commissioned by the LGT Bank in Liechtenstein, he created the "Foot of Bendern," a 5.15-meter-high bronze sculpture depicting a fragment of the foot of an invisible giant. He also works in printmaking and drawing.
