Józef Kluska-Stawowy (1902-1975) painter, printmaker and educator. A student of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. His extensive graphic output includes about 13 volumes of woodcuts. The subjects of the works are architectural motifs and landscapes from Podhale. The atmospheric compositions with geometric and rhythmic surfaces are emphasized by planes of white and gray, developed with a multi-row engraving in stencil blocks.
