Jozef Kluska-Stawowski - (1902 - 1975), painter, graphic artist educator. Studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow supplemented at the Jagiellonian University and the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan. His extensive graphic output includes about 13 volumes of woodcuts. The theme of the works are mainly architectural motifs and landscapes from Podhale, often referring to the Polish ART-DECO trend. Among other things, he participated in the First International Woodcut Exhibition opened in 1933 at the Institute of Art Propaganda in Warsaw. Original prints of his woodcuts are rare on the antique market
