Biography
He became interested in photography in 1922, and already a year later won a bronze medal at the Light Exhibition in Poznan. He was a member of the Society of Photography Enthusiasts in Poznan from 1926, and president of the Society from 1930. From 1947 a member of the PTF in Warsaw and Gdansk, from 1949 of the ZPAF. Before the war, he co-founded the photographic life in Poznan. His photographs - mainly landscapes - are characterized by mystery; the works, thanks to artistic procedures such as haze, give the impression of being unreal and fairy-tale-like. One of the representatives of pictorialism. Participant in many national and international exhibitions.
