[GDYNIA and surroundings - situational and documentary photographs]. l. 1920s/30s. Set of 46 glass plates ca 9x12 cm, of unknown authorship.
A collection of plates from the interwar period documenting the life of probably one family living and thriving in Kashubia, most likely associated with Marylka Wolska (scene in the cemetery by the grave). Photographs of unknown authorship, perhaps of a cadet visible in several shots. Frames with scenes from the family home, Christmas meeting, in the garden, on the beach, on the yacht, on the ship, during trips, at the dentist's office; showing male-female relations (some with erotic overtones). Particularly noteworthy are shots of the port, in its early period of construction and operation (builder with unfolded plans, building with inscription: "Kapitanat portu Gdynia"), as well as shots of border guards, customs officials, a military radio station, a military car with registration number W 26 098. Some of the plates are damaged - cracked, over-cracked, with small corner losses, scratches, emulsion losses - and require conservation treatment.
