Biography
Agata Kus works in painting, drawing, ceramics and video. She is a graduate and PhD student of the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. In 2012 she defended her diploma in Prof. Leszek Misiak's studio, and in 2018 she received her PhD. She has received numerous awards and scholarships. She is a winner of the 2015 WRO International Media Art Biennale in Wroclaw. In 2017, she was nominated for the Deutsche Bank and Zacheta "Views" Award. In 2011 and 2018, she was a finalist for the Vordemberge-Gildewart Foundation Prize. In 2021, she won first place in the Kompas Młodej Sztuki ranking published in "Rzeczpospolita". Her works are in public collections including the National Museum in Gdansk, the Museum of Contemporary Art MOCAK in Krakow or the collection of the Bunkier Sztuki Gallery, as well as in numerous private collections in Poland and abroad.
