Biography
Settled in Paris probably before the outbreak of World War I. He participated in the Paris salons: the Autumn Salon (1921, 1924, 1926-27, 1936-37), des Tuileries (1923, 1927, 1936) and the Independent (1925). He painted mainly landscapes, views of urban suburbs and still lifes. In 1943 he was deported to a concentration camp. The date of his death is controversial; according to family accounts, the artist survived the war and died in 1956.
