Michał SOZAŃSKI
1853 Blazow - 1923 Lviv
Watercolor painter and illustrator associated with Lviv. He studied architecture at the Lviv Technical Academy, and studied painting there under Leonardo Marconi. He was an assistant at the academy (in 1876-1877, 1883-1886 and 1890-1891). He is one of the creators of the "Panorama of Raclawice." He mostly painted genre scenes and portraits. His paintings are in the Lviv Picture Gallery and the Jagiellonian Library in Krakow, among others. The artist himself and his wife were portrayed by Jacek Malczewski.
