Jan Jacob Coenraad SPOHLER [1837 Amsterdam - 1923 Amsterdam].
Dutch landscape painter, older son of Jan Jacob Spohler (1811-1866). He took lessons from both his father and Jan Willem Pieneman (1779-1853). He acquired his painting workshop in Amsterdam, Haarlem and Brussels. As with his father, Jan Jacob Coenraad's painting focused on Dutch landscapes, in which the painter's attention to detail was particularly heightened. Today, his works are in numerous private collections around the world.
