Studied from 1911 to 1914 under W. Weiss at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow and graduated with a bronze medal. He traveled to Germany, Albania, Italy and France, staying in Paris for a long time. Until 1939, he worked as a teacher in the secondary schools of Lviv and Sambor. He participated in exhibitions of the Lviv TPSP, where he had a solo exhibition in 1932. From 1930 he exhibited with the Syndicate of Artists of Southeastern Lands. He painted mainly landscapes and portraits, often clearly inspired by French art, the paintings of P. Cézanne and P. Gauguin.
