German painter - landscape painter. He took part in World War I in the 16th Royal Bavarian Infantry Reserve Regiment - he was seriously wounded in 1916. He studied in Munich, Berlin, as well as in Stuttgart, Vienna and Paris, including with Prof. Heinrich von Zügel, Max Lieberman, Leo von König. In Stuttgart he belonged to the "Uecht" group of abstract painters, and in Vienna to the "Licht" group of Cubists. In 1930 he began working at the Academy in Zürich, where he became a professor in 1932 and later also rector. In 1938, he returned to Bavaria. He traveled throughout Europe, the Middle East and the United States. Around 1928, he adopted the artistic pseudonym Graboné. He painted mountain and seascapes and travel views.
