Lot description Show orginal version
acrylic, canvas, 80 x 100 cm, signed l.d.: pablo and on the back

Pawel Bienkiewicz was born in Poland in 1962, and the mainstream of his work is abstract painting. He has always felt a strong connection and influence of art on himself and the world. He is currently realizing this feeling in his art.
In his paintings he dresses up the Machine of the Universe with snapshots of his own observations. His work features motifs of space, inter-dimensional transitions, undulations, vibrations, transformation of energy and matter, contrast of light and shadow, tonal play of colors, and symbols. He creates his works on canvas or cardboard substrates. Often the process of creating the work itself begins with the transformation of the painting workspace from a plane to a three-dimensional area. This is followed by fixation, painting a temporary deformation. The painting stage is followed by a return to a two-dimensional state with a captured "photograph" of the disturbance just caused. Many works have traces of these inter-dimensional transitions, like wrinkles on the face of a person with a lot of life experience. It's a kind of documentation of what can escape our attention and won't happen again or persists, still invisible but inherently real and real.
The artist also creates digital works, in which the manipulation of space, its multidimensionality, changeability, plasticity is also a leitmotif. His masters, whose works he is often inspired by, are H.R. Giger, Victor Vasarely, Zdzislaw Beksinski. Pawel Bienkiewicz uses the pseudonym "pablo" in his works, dressed in an elliptical logotype.
The author believes that the most beautiful works of art are created by nature. In one of these works, perhaps the most elusive, unimaginable, we are immersed and at the same time limited by the aqualungs of our perception. Therefore, man, imitating nature will never surpass it, but it is worthwhile to continue this struggle because the results are sometimes delightful.
The message: let's abandon limitations and start a journey into the unknown together.
