Katarzyna Janiak (born 1998) is a graduate of the painting department at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts. She received her Master of Fine Arts degree in 2022. She defended her diploma in the studio of Prof. Tomasz Milanowski. Her diploma titled "Celebrations"' could be seen in the Lufcik gallery at the House of the Visual Artist. In her work she deals mainly with painting, but also with artistic textiles.
The element that unites the two fields are intense colors, often infantile, associated with childishness. In her paintings she combines figurative representations with abstract, simplified elements. Her paintings are personal in nature. The artist draws inspiration from her childhood, the climate of the late 1990s and early 2000s.
