oil, canvas, 60x60 cm, 2023
Artwork description:
The series "ARCHI-TONY" opens a new chapter in the artist's work started in 2023/24. Kordowicz-Markuszewska combines architectural, linear black ink drawings and colorful, abstract painting plane actions. The architectural objects are uncontextualized and often dynamic, separate from the environment in which they find themselves. This environment surrounds them, isolating them and allowing them to stand apart from it, or absorbing them in aesthetic-compositional integration. The artist analyzes the sounds, tones and melodies of architecture in her environment.
