acrylic, mixed technique on canvas, 140x120 cm
The artist, born in Wroclaw in 1983, lives and works in Gdansk on a daily basis. During her studies, she was inspired by the paintings of Prof. Jozef Halas of the Wroclaw Academy of Fine Arts and developed her technique under his guidance. The professor's geometrizing and synthesizing language of painting expression influenced the artist's further works. Over time, influenced by travel and a European scholarship and classes at an art school in Spain, minimalist landscape compositions began to give way to more elaborate abstract forms. The artist paints mainly in acrylics and oils on canvas, using her own mixed-media technique. She begins each painting with a characteristic intuitive brushstroke or spatula, which then determines the composition of the work. Circles, triangles, squares, numerous lines are elements that always appear on the canvas. The symbolism of colors is of great importance to her. Her travels in southern Europe, North Africa and life in Spain, had a great influence, if only on the colors of the works, making them more intense, more vivid. Many times the starting point in creating a painting is the photographs she takes herself. She mainly photographs landscape, architecture, people and nature. More specifically, the structures of plants, trees, rocks, etc., sometimes in microscopic form, after which she transforms them into geometric form. He likes to experiment with shapes, various painting techniques, structures, objects. She often complements her paintings with original Swarovski crystals, amber, glass, resin, natural minerals, etc. Currently, the artist has developed her own unique style that is a synthesis of her experiences, travels, interests, emotions. Her works decorate space in private collections in Poland and abroad, including: Spain, Italy, Morocco, Germany.
