Bartosz Kokosiński lives and works in Warsaw. He studied at the
Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, where in 2009 he received a
diploma in the atelier of Prof. Andrzej Bednarczyk and Witold Stelmachniewicz. He belonged to the
Krakow-based group Silnia.
He is a scholarship holder of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage (2002, 2007, 2012) and a
recipient of the Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation Award (Canada, 2006). In 2003, he was
awarded a distinction at the 41st "Bielska Jesień" Biennale (statutory distinction, distinction
of the patron editors of "ARTLUK", "EXIT", "OBIEG"). In 2014, he took first place in the ranking of
of young artists "Compass of Young Art." His works are in the collections of
state: BWA Bielska Gallery in Bielsko-Biała, Zachęta Contemporary Art in
Szczecin, Bunkier Sztuki in Krakow, and the Center for Polish Sculpture in Oronsko.
