Matter must surprise me, and creation is a very dynamic situation, an experiment. When I do not feel that I discover something with a given formula, I no longer continue with this method of creation. Matter, after all, cannot always be tamed as I would like, and this is precisely the source of surprise, and thus adventure, which I would probably never experience when developing, for example, a purely digital work - Bartosz Kokosinski.
This matter [resin] is very interesting - now that it has solidified, we can look through it, but at first it was completely liquid, noxious fumes escaped over it. When it dries, it ceases to be dangerous - apparently - and on the one hand it gains depth, suddenly becomes so deluded, plastic and mirror-like, and on the other hand, when it is broken, it remains extremely sharp to the touch, like the edge of a knife. The kind of this non-obviousness of textures, this tension is crucial for me - Bartosz Kokosinski.
