Krystyn Zieliński - painter; graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Lodz in 1954 and since then was a teacher, and also served as the rector of the academy from 1981 to 1987. Since 1990 a full professor. He headed the composition studio, the Department of Textiles, the Department of Painting and Graphics. Works in the field of painting, drawing, installation with sound structures, conceptual activities. In the early period of his work, he was associated with the art group "Fifth Circle", later with the Group "New Line", active at the ZLP in Lodz since 1959. Exhibitions with Andrzej Lobodzinski and Ireneusz Pierzgalski. In 1961, he took part in an important exhibition of Lodz artists at the Krzysztofory Gallery in Cracow. Works in the collections of, among others, National Museums in Warsaw, Poznan, Krakow, Wroclaw, Museum of Art in Lodz, Mondrianhuis in Amersfoort, Holland, in the collection of Grabowski Gallery in London.
