Biography
Studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznan (1994-1999). He received his diploma in the painting studio of Prof. Jerzy Kalucki. Currently lives and works in Warsaw. Rogalski does figurative painting, although he also uses photography and video. He paints in a very modern way - when building his image of reality, he willingly uses the aesthetics of photography, cropped shots or superimposes interpenetrating layers as in a film montage. He does this with absolute sensitivity, leaving room for contemplation, vision and mystery. He paints in the traditional manner, with oil paints on canvas. Rogalski's spectacularly developing artistic career emphatically shows that if an artist does not lack perseverance and faith in the sense of his own work, true talent will be noticed and appreciated. Rogalski is today one of the most "hot" and recognizable names of new Polish art. His paintings sell at prestigious art fairs in Miami, Florida, Paris, Vienna and Basel, and from there they find their way into European and American collections.
