Tomasz Kowalski (1984, Szczebrzeszyn) Works in painting, installations, video and music. In Jakub Banasiak's book Tired of Reality, published in 2009, Tomasz Kowalski was placed among the artists the author calls the "new surrealists." Kowalski's art is part of the turn to imagination made by the young generation of Polish artists at the end of the first decade of the 21st century.
The artist's works have been presented at Art Basel Miami Beach, carlier I gebauer in Berlin, Künstlerhaus Bethanien in Berlin, Galeria Pies in Poznań, BWA in Zielona Góra, among others. Kowalski's works are in the public collections of Centre Pompidou, MUMOK, MOCAK, Frac des Pays de la Loire and important legal collections of Francois Pinault and Boros, among others.
