Otto Axer (03.08.1906 Przemyśl - 24.05.1983 Warsaw) - painter and stage designer.
Otto Axer was born in Przemyśl. From 1924 to 1930 he studied painting in Cracow, and for the next two years in Paris. After returning to Poland, he worked as a stage designer in theaters in Lvov, Lodz and Warsaw until the outbreak of World War II, mainly with Leon Schiller. In 1940 he ended up in the Warsaw Ghetto, from where he managed to escape and then hide on the so-called Aryan side.
