The work "Lobster" is part of the series "Recent History", where I allow myself to reflect on current events. One of the important characteristics of contemporary art is the capacity for self-irony. In this work I present an absurd selfie in a museum or gallery.
Selfie - the most interesting phenomenon of the current time, especially when it is a photo from a gallery exhibition. It seems ridiculous to me to combine a photo of a trophy with a photo from a gallery, which essentially serves the same role. And, of course, it was no coincidence that the room with the works of Jeff Koons (the "king" of kitsch), who made the sculpture of the same title, was chosen.
