One of the most recognizable Polish painters. From 1994 to 1996 he studied at the Faculty of Architecture at the Cracow University of Technology. In 1995, he began attending additional drawing classes, where he met senior students Wilhelm Sasnal and Rafał Bujnowski. The young students fell in love with the class instructor Marek Firk and Jozef Tomczyk and founded an informal creative group, which in the near future was to be named "Grupa Ładnie" (1995-2001). Maciejowski, in his third year of studies from architecture, moved to the Faculty of Graphics at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, where he became known as an unruly student, following his own path. In 2002, he was the winner of the Polityka Passports, and in 2010 he received the prestigious German Lovis Corinth Preis award. Maciejowski's works can be found in many public and private collections at home and abroad, including: National Museum, Krakow; MOCAK, Krakow; Museum of Modern Art, Warsaw; CCA Ujazdowski Castle, Warsaw; Bunkier Sztuki, Krakow; ING Polish Art Foundation, Warsaw; Belvedere Museum, Vienna; Burger Collection, Berlin; Frissiras Museum, Athens; Kunstforum Ostdeutsche Galerie, Regensburg; Olbricht Collection, Berlin/Essen, Schauwerk Sindelfingen Museum, Sindelfingen; Volpinum Kunstsammlung, Vienna.
